The Story so far...

I am an independent designer based here in Brisbane, shaped by curiosity and learning by doing. The story began with a hands-on introduction to sewing in San Francisco, where short bursts of time spent in the tailor shop while working at Levi’s sparked a lasting interest in design and making. 

Holly Vanden the brand launched officially in November 2025 at the QUT Studio 4 Pop-Up shop in Brisbane, Australia. My designs were picked up by Array Store and was stocked in store by December 2025. Such an exciting moment!

Now in my final year of my fashion design studies, I have created this online space to share with you what I have been slowly working on. Each piece on my site is designed and sewn at home in my boyfriend’s garage, often while listening to Lana del Rey, Lady Gaga, Amy Winehouse or something of that nature. I am constantly inspired by music, friendship and the beautiful things that surround me.
